Our Facilities

Our Medical Waste Processing Facilities in Canada

Daniels Health is proud to operate North America’s second largest service infrastructure for biomedical waste. With seven treatment plants and transfer stations in Canada and 20 across the United States, we have built an expansive service network that enables the highest level of customer service and scheduling flexibility, as well as  ensures the efficiency of operations.

Treatment

All of our facilities are equipped with Bondtech full vacuum steam autoclaves. Each autoclave can, on average, process up to six large carts per treatment cycle, heating its contents to an average of 140°C using a pressure of 30 psi. Powered by natural gas and fuelled through a boiler system, our steam-based technology meets Canadian environmental and treatment standards.

Security

Security is a top priority across all Daniels Health facilities in Canada and the US. Each site is monitored with high-resolution surveillance systems to ensure full operational visibility. We are committed to our cradle-to-grave waste responsibility for our customers, maintaining rigorous safeguards for all regulated waste streams, including high-risk materials such as pharmaceuticals and cytotoxic waste. On-site management teams oversee daily plant operations, and our staff undergo ongoing training in secure handling protocols, in line with Canada’s federal and provincial waste regulations.

Tracking Technology

Daniels maintains a dedicated Canadian fleet of over 109 trucks nationally. All of our trucks are outfitted with advanced GPS technology, which gives real-time visibility into route progress, collection timelines, and operational efficiency.
