Daniels owns and operates medical waste treatment plants and Washsmart processing plants, along with transport fleets throughout Canada. The Washsmart system of emptying and washing containers is designed, built and maintained by Daniels’ engineers. Over 2 million Sharpsmart containers are processed in Washsmart plants each year throughout the USA and Canada. Daniels complies with all applicable Federal, Provincial and local regulations and is proud to have set the Canadian benchmark for safety and quality in reusable container processing.

Daniels’ reusable biomedical waste and sharps containers will not take up any more space than is already required by single-use containers due to an increased capacity from efficient and innovative design. The comparisons should be performed on volume requirements not individual containers. Daniels will perform a thorough needs analysis prior to rollout to provide full support during and after implementation to ensure storage is optimized. The amount of stock required on site will depend on the frequency of your Daniels deliveries and collections, which is contingent on each customer’s individual requirements.

Full and clean Sharpsmarts sharps containers are not routinely transported or stored alongside each other. However, if they were, there is no disease transmission risk.
