Rooted in Canada. Built for Canada.
Daniels Health is an international leader in biomedical waste management, with locations in Canada, the US, Australia, and the EU. While our footprint might be global, our approach is local. Our Canadian head office is proudly based in Ontario, and our leadership team, frontline staff, and operations are all Canadian. That means our decisions, priorities, and investments are made with Canadians in mind, because we live here too.
Across more than two decades, Daniels has grown alongside Canada’s healthcare sector; participating in national trade shows, building relationships with government bodies, and helping shape regulations that protect both patients and the professionals who care for them.
Supporting local matters to us and we’re proud to play an active role in our local communities, including providing support for regional shelters, helping local sports teams thrive, and advocating for safer healthcare environments across the country. Our teams live and work in Canada and we’re committed to doing our part to make our country the best it can be.
From Coast to Coast, We’ve Got Canada Covered
Canada’s healthcare needs don’t stop at the big cities, and neither do we. Canada’s vast geography demands that waste serviceability is not only possible to support the essential needs of healthcare, but also cost effective. To meet both of these criteria, Daniels Health has strategically invested in waste processing and waste transfer locations that will optimize efficiencies for local and national healthcare partners. Whether it’s a major urban hospital network or a small clinic in a remote community, our infrastructure is built to deliver reliable, responsive service from coast to coast.
To drive further cost and time efficiencies for small quantity generators of medical waste, Daniels has developed its own courier program that caters for remote locations or ‘on demand’ schedule requirements. Our Ecoship program delivers against the same high standard of service achieved through our direct service model, while delivering cost savings direct to the customer. This is just one of the ways we ensure that Daniels Health can deliver equitable access to sustainable healthcare waste solutions across Canada.
Behind the scenes, we’ve invested heavily in supply chain resilience. Every province and territory is stocked with at least 12 months’ worth of inventory, giving our clients peace of mind no matter what disruptions may arise. Our teams across Sales, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain work in sync, continuously foreca
sting demand and adjusting inventory based on real-time data. And because we’re always improving our processes, we’re not just keeping up with Canada’s needs, we’re working hard to stay ahead of them.
Add in bilingual support and a commitment to quality across every touchpoint, and you can see Daniels has put the work into being Canada’s leading waste management partner to Canadian healthcare.
Tailored Service for Every Canadian Region
Daniels understands that Canada isn’t one-size-fits-all. That’s why our approach is customized to both provincial and generator-influenced requirements; upholding the unique regulations that govern each province, and tailoring solutions that take into account geographical and cultural nuances. Daniels employs a team of compliance, safety and waste experts that can drive proactive change management across industry or regulatory changes.
We conduct Executive Business Reviews with our clients on a quarterly, semi-annual, or annual basis, depending on their preferences and goals. These conversations, along with regular audits and quarterly surveys, give us a clearer picture of what our customers need, when they need it, and how we can improve.
For customers in rural or hard-to-reach areas, our EcoShip program extends access to our services beyond our traditional routing zones. Wherever healthcare happens, we’re here with practical solutions that are designed to fit the local landscape.
Programs with National Purpose
Supporting Canadian healthcare means more than just delivering bins and scheduling waste pickups. It means investing in the long-term success, safety, and sustainability of the clients we serve.
Our ESG initiatives are rooted in real action, which includes financially contributing to healthcare-related non-profits as well as grassroots community partnerships that work to strengthen Canada’s public health infrastructure. We focus on supporting causes that directly impact the people and places our clients care about most.
We also know that education is a key part of compliance and safety. That’s why we provide ongoing guidance and training on proper biomedical waste classification and segregation. These programs help reduce errors, minimize risk, and help our clients meet increasingly complex regulatory requirements with confidence.
Powered by Canadian Partnerships
No one succeeds alone and we know that’s especially true in healthcare. Our partnerships with other Canadian businesses and stewardship organizations are a key part of how we grow and serve our clients better.
We prioritize working with trusted local partners, like Vitacore and Emerald, to manage specialized waste streams safely and with full compliance. These relationships allow us to expand our capabilities while keeping services close to home.
We also take part in national stewardship initiatives such as the Health Products Stewardship Association (HPSA) sharps and pharmaceutical return program. This proactive approach helps clients navigate complex requirements while offering more comprehensive, end-to-end waste solutions. The result is a true one-stop shop for Canadian healthcare providers, supported by a network that’s proudly Canadian, through and through.
What’s Next for Daniels in Canada?
We’re not slowing down. As the needs of Canadian healthcare providers evolve, so do our services. We’re actively expanding into new waste streams that include plastics, IV bags, tubing, glass, and other forms of special waste. With a focus on expansion and evolution, our promise is to always deliver the most complete and compliant solutions for our Canadian clients, underscored with a standardized and harmonized management approach.
By continuing to grow our offerings, we’re making it easier for healthcare facilities to manage multiple waste types through a single, trusted partner. It’s all part of our long-term vision to simplify processes, reduce risk, and deliver even more value, which translates into better outcomes for everyone.
Committed to Serving All of Canada
Biomedical waste is generated wherever healthcare happens, from major hospitals in urban centres to small clinics in remote regions. At Daniels Health, we understand that being a Canadian company isn’t just about where we’re based, but about what we do and how we do it. That’s why we’re committed to serving providers in every province and territory, regardless of size or location, and delivering the most complete range and highest safety standards of waste containerization products across the country.
Our coast-to-coast service model ensures safe, consistent, and compliant waste solutions are available to healthcare workers everywhere. And as we expand our ESG initiatives, we’re continuing to look for more ways to make an even broader impact.
