Frequently Asked Questions

What size pharmaceutical waste container do I need for my facility?

Container size depends on the volume of pharmaceutical waste generated at each point of use and how frequently the container will be exchanged.

As a general guide:

The P14 Rx (14 litre) works well for low-volume medication rooms and pharmacy counters
The P22 Rx and P32 Rx suit higher-volume pharmacies, medication rooms and wards
The P64 Rx is appropriate for secure areas and facilities generating large pharmaceutical waste volumes
Daniels conducts a facility assessment prior to any new program to recommend the right size and placement for each location. Contact Daniels Health to arrange an assessment for your facility.
